Welcome to Calvary Chapel Eastside! We are glad you’re here!
We know that visiting a new church can be a little confusing, so we've compiled a list of commonly asked questions to help you feel more comfortable.
If you have additional questions, you can visit the Welcome Desk and Information Booth in the foyer on Sunday, or contact the Church Office during the week.
+ When are services?
Our worship services are every Sunday at 10am in the Sanctuary. On Wednesday nights at 7pm, we provide nursery for the littlest ones, AWANA for children, Youth Group for Junior and Senior High, and other adult ministries.
+ What should I wear?
The people who join us wear anything from jeans to their "Sunday Best." The bottom line is, we are thrilled to have you with us, and we want you to come as you are and wear what is comfortable!
+ How do I get to Calvary Chapel Eastside?
Take exit number 13 off of I-90. Go south on Lakemont Blvd for about 1.6 miles. At the light, turn right onto 164th Ave SE. We are the first property on the right hand side. (Exterior Flyby)
+ Where should I park?
We have plenty of parking spaces on site, including a parking garage located underneath the building.
+ Where do my children go?
As well as teaching from the Bible, live worship, and fellowship, Calvary Chapel Eastside provides age appropriate teaching for all your children's needs. On the first floor, near the sanctuary, you will find the nursery, as well as classes for 2 through 4 year old children in rooms 101-103. Upstairs, 5 year olds through 6th graders meet in rooms 203-205. These elementary aged children sing and worship God together at 10am in room 201, and then are taken to their classrooms by their teachers. (Jr. high students join the main service for worship and then are dismissed for class in room 202. Senior high students join the adults in the main service.)
All children need to be signed in through KidCheck stations on the first floor at the lobby info booth. Parents set up accounts through the KidCheck website at home on any computer or smart device. You can also use your smart phone or smart device to check your child in before you arrive at church using the mobile app.
After signing in your child to their class, a child badge for each child and a guardian receipt will be printed out on the label writer. Children need to wear their badge the entire time they are in the children's wing and parents MUST have a guardian receipt to enter the children's wing and pick up their child(ren). We take the safety of our kids very seriously and hope that our procedures will give parents a strong sense of security.
+ Am I expected to put money in the offering basket?
There is no cost to attend our worship services and giving is ultimately between you and the Lord. However, since giving is an important act of faith and worship, we give you the opportunity to participate by receiving tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:10
+ What is a Calvary service like?
Our goal at Calvary is loving Jesus, loving His Word, and loving people as a way of life. Our services, therefore, are focused on understanding and applying the whole counsel of God through a verse-by-verse study of the Bible. We begin services with songs of praise and adoration, followed by a meaningful message of Christ's redeeming love.
+ How can I get involved at Calvary?
There are a multitude of different ways to serve! Just talk to one of our ministry leaders to see how you can help or contact the Church Office and we'll get you connected to the right person!
