Calvary Chapel Salzburg: Ivan & Michelle Ibbotson

We are the Ibbotsons, and we have been Calvary Chapel missionaries since 2008. In 2007, we felt the Lord calling us to Salzburg to start a verse-by-verse Bible teaching church. Throughout the next year, we continually felt the Lord urging us to pack up our family and move to Austria.

With many obstacles to overcome, we prayed. As we searched for God’s direction, He confirmed and guided us to do something great in the city of Salzburg.

In September, 2008, The Chapel in Salzburg began its journey with a handful of people meeting for midweek Bible study. Within months, God opened the doors for our first Sunday morning service.

We have been moving forward ever since and have steadily seen the great and mighty hand of God. We have been amazed to witness the Lord use the most unlikely people in the most unconventional ways for the purpose of furthering His kingdom for His name’s sake.

Your prayers and support are GREATLY appreciated as we continue the Lord’s work of ministry in Salzburg. Our greatest desire is to abide in the Vine and allow Him to lead us by the Holy Spirit.
