Paradise Mission Trip

Paradise Mission Trip

In the summer of 2018, wildfires ravaged the city of Paradise, California. It is estimated that 85% of the city was burned down, and thousands
of people have lost their homes and been displaced. We feel the call
to be there with them in this, to help bear the burden of their pain and loss, to be the tangible presence of the loving God we serve in the midst of chaos. Please pray for our CCE Mission Team as they make an impact in Paradise.

Here is what one Chico resident shared with us: Read more.

Guest Speaker: Carl Kerby

The church is losing its next generation at an alarming rate. What can we do about it? Teaching just Bible stories to our children isn’t working; young people in our churches need to know how to stand uncompromisingly on the authority and accuracy of the Bible so that they can answer the skeptical questions of the age.

Join us for a special message from Carl entitled “Becoming Bold” from James 1:8 on Sunday, June 30th!

Guest Speaker: Greg Koukl

Guest speaker Greg Koukl with Stand to Reason will be with us on Sunday, April 28th!

What is Christianity? Is it a religious system? A relationship with God? A philosophy of life? A roadmap to Heaven? It is actually much more than any of those. Christianity is a story, a drama about conflict, love, betrayal, rebellion, self-sacrifice, and redemption. But this story isn’t a make-believe story. It is a story about the way the world actually is. It is the story of reality.

Tenebrae (Good Friday)

The word tenebrae is Latin for “darkness” or “shadows”.

In this solemn one hour candlelight service, we will remember Jesus’ purposeful journey to the cross and the suffering He would endure through a dramatic reading of the passion of the Christ, hymns, and the taking of communion.

Childcare is not provided.
