Ethnos360/Papua New Guinea: Adam & Anna Ferguson

Ferguson Family 2021.png

We are the Ferguson family, working as Bible translators and church planters with Ethnos360.  In 2011, we started training with Ethnos360 at their Bible Institute in Wisconsin for two years and spent another two and half years at their Missionary Training Center in Missouri.  We're serving in Papua New Guinea where there are roughly 400 distinct language groups without a Bible translation, many of them asking for a missionary to come bring God's Talk.  In high school, God impressed on our hearts a passion to reach the people groups who have no access to God's Word, people groups who are heading to a Christ-less eternity without a chance to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:14 "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?"

This type of church plant consists of living among an indigenous people in a remote bush location, studying their culture and language, developing an alphabet for their language and teaching them literacy, presenting the gospel in a chronological way from Genesis to Christ, continuing Bible translation and years of discipleship.  We don't just desire to make converts, but disciples who are growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  The end goal is a maturing church that continues discipleship and evangelism.

We are just starting the work and feel blessed that God would use weak vessels like us to carry out his Great Commission to the world.  We are excited to team up together through your prayer and support.
