Today, in Washington state, three in four fourth-grade students are reading below grade level.  Reading is a critical building block for elementary school students, as it is the foundation for their academic, professional, and life success.  In fact, students who don't read proficiently by the fourth grade are four times more likely to drop out of school. 

With your help, we can build a future where all children in King County have the reading skills necessary to reach their full potential.

Please donate new or gently used books to help support kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade.  Stop by CCE during office hours (9am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday) or at church on Sunday and drop off books in our bookcase in the lobby.  Click the button below for more information or if you would like to volunteer to help.
