Kris Repp
“It is hard to believe that it has been 25 years since I left my job and home to do full-time mission work
in Guatemala. During that time, I also started doing international disaster relief. Over the years, I have been blessed to be able to respond to 12 international disasters and travel throughout the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The opportunities to support church planting efforts, lend credibility to the Gospel, and gain access to closed nations by means of medical ministry have been the focus of my work throughout the world. I moved my base
from Guatemala to the US in 2001.
Since then, I have had the opportunity to partner with groups that are bringing the ‘Good News’ to the unreached. I have been able
to transport Bibles into closed nations and work extensively
with refugees in the Middle East. Most recently, I have worked as a first responder to the COVID-19 crisis in our own nation.
I know the apostle Paul understood the secret when he wrote
in Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.’ I know my strength to do this work comes from Christ alone. Christ’s love has transformed my life. His Spirit continues to fill me with His love, joy and peace…and compels me to love Him and others in return. For me, this has meant leaving my home to follow the one true God that promises never to leave me. It has meant putting my trust in Him instead of trusting the things I can see.
It has meant letting go and letting Him take me to places I have never been or could ever imagine. I suppose it has meant taking a risk…the risk that my faith is real and that it works.“
