THE DIAMUBENI FAMILY
Robert and Chantal Diamubeni send love in Christ from Frascati, Italy, in the Province of Rome.
The Diamubeni Family has lived in the greater Rome area since 1990. Robert and Chantal raised their three children (who are now adults) in Italy: Tania (teacher), Marco (music producer), and Michelangelo (engineer).
While Robert and Chantal are originally from the Congo, Central Africa, Robert came to faith during military training in the United States and discovered a warm affection for his American brothers and sisters.
Although the Diamubeni family has been serving in ministry for the past 25 years, they have always done so as “tent-makers” with full-time jobs.
Chantal is a seamstress and Robert has occupied various managerial roles. They first engaged in ministry running the only evangelical bookstore in Rome, and then launched Calvary Chapel Rome. At the same time, they have led home Bible studies in multiple towns across the Castelli Romani (Roman province towns) and preached at a local Congolese fellowship.
During the Pandemic, they were forced to shut down their public Sunday gatherings. However, we are seeing an exciting return of “lost sheep” who have been willing to gather for church services again in 2025. We are encouraged by this commitment and revival.
The Diamubenis are part of the Calvary Chapel network in Europe, and Robert attends monthly virtual prayer meetings with Italian pastors, as well as the annual ministry conference in Austria. While these connections have been life-giving, they understand the need to look to our brothers and sisters across the globe to help sustain this work.
